Who is eligible to participate?

Applicants must:

• Operate an existing, legally registered brick-and-mortar business

• Have been in continuous operation for at least one year

• Maintain a current lease or own the property where the business operates

• Be current on rent, lease, or mortgage payments

• Hold all required permits and licenses

• Maintain workers’ compensation and disability insurance (or an approved waiver)

• Maintain general liability insurance meeting program requirements

How much funding can a business receive?
Individual grants typically range from $5,000 to $10,000, depending on the scope of the project, readiness, and available funding. The number of businesses funded each year may vary based on these factors.

What types of improvements are eligible for funding?

Eligible projects must involve customer-facing improvements, including:

• Façade upgrades

• Interior improvements that enhance the customer experience

• Accessibility upgrades, including ADA-related improvements

• Safety and visibility improvements such as lighting, signage, or entrances
